Positive Response, Inc. Non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. They are an ALL-VOLUNTEER group of 6 to 12 people from widely varying backgrounds. The ALL-FREE services they provide support their direct clients as well as area County Courts, Jails, College Departments, Medical Practices, Clinics, and Congregations of Houses of Worship.
Now in its 17th year of operation, Positive Response is the only remaining AIDS Service Organization in the area bordered by Birmingham, Atlanta, Rome, and Columbus. Prevention through HIV testing and education is a primary goal. They offer direct services to those infected as well as directing them to available health care and medicines and establishing disability if needed.
People with substance abuse addictions and those who are indigent are among the most at risk for contracting and spreading AIDS. They have an effective and swift REHAB placement program enrolling individuals mostly into FREE Christian inpatient facilities. Their rehab services are offered to all – regardless of HIV status.
In their facility they maintain several offices and areas for confidential testing and counseling.
